MINDFUL CONNECTIONS COUNSELLING WELCOMES YOU

Your Source for Personal Growth

A BIT ABOUT ME

Hi, I’m a registered counsellor with a Bachelor of Youth Work, a Graduate Diploma in Psychological Science and Counselling, and nearing completion of a Master of Counselling. My academic journey has equipped me with a strong foundation in therapeutic practice, while my years of experience in the community services sector have deepened my understanding of the diverse challenges people face.

I’ve had the privilege of working with children and adults with disabilities, as well as individuals navigating substance and behavioural addictions, anxiety, stress, grief, loss, body image and self-esteem issues and relationship difficulties. My approach is person-centred, compassionate, and grounded in the belief that every individual holds the strength and resilience to create meaningful change.

I’m passionate about walking alongside my clients as they explore new pathways, reconnect with their values, and move toward their goals and desired outcomes. I strive to foster autonomy, build confidence, and equip people with practical tools to support their wellbeing — always honouring their unique story and pace.

Whether you're seeking support through a difficult time or looking to grow and thrive, I’m here to help you uncover what’s possible.

Telehealth Counselling

Meet Me- Hi, I’m Zoe — a nature-loving, book-devouring soul with a deep appreciation for life’s simple joys and wild adventures. When I’m not immersed in the pages of a good book (or twelve), you’ll likely find me hiking through lush forests, chasing waterfalls, or simply sitting quietly in nature soaking up its calm and wisdom.I’m passionate about movement and mindfulness — yoga keeps me grounded, strength training keeps me empowered, and meditation helps me stay centred and connected. My two loyal companions, a German Shepherd and a Staffy, keep me smiling, and I have a soft spot for animals of all kinds — I’ll happily interact with any creature that crosses my path. I believe in the magic of a good holiday, the healing power of laughter, and the brilliance of a well-timed comedy show. Life, to me, is about connection, curiosity, and carving out moments that make us feel truly alive.

Telehealth and in-person options available

Availability & Telehealth Options I offer telehealth counselling sessions via secure video link or phone call from Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 8:00 PM, and on Saturdays from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM. This flexible format allows you to access support from the comfort of your own space — no travel, no parking, and no added stress. Telehealth can be especially helpful for those seeking greater privacy, living outside the Geelong region, or looking to fit important self-care into a busy schedule. Whether you're at home, at work, or somewhere in between, therapy is just a call or click away. In-person appointments can be arranged upon request in the Geelong CBD, depending on availability.

  • Therapeutic Approach

  • My counselling practice is grounded in a person-centred framework, where each individual’s unique story, strengths, and goals guide the therapeutic journey. I draw from a range of evidence-based modalities to support clients in meaningful and tailored ways, blending approaches where appropriate to meet their specific needs.

  • The modalities I work with include:

  • Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT): Helping clients build psychological flexibility by connecting with values and committing to purposeful action.

  • Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT): Supporting individuals to identify and shift unhelpful thought patterns and behaviours.

  • Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT): Offering tools for emotional regulation, distress tolerance, and interpersonal effectiveness.

  • Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT) & Emotion-Focused Individual Therapy (EFIT): Exploring emotional experiences to foster healing, self-awareness, and transformation.

  • Motivational Interviewing (MI): Encouraging self-directed change by enhancing motivation and resolving ambivalence.

  • Person-Centred Approach: Creating a safe, empathetic space where clients feel heard, respected, and empowered.

  • I believe in meeting people where they are, and I tailor each session to honour their pace, preferences, and evolving needs. My goal is to walk alongside clients as they uncover new insights, build resilience, and move toward greater wellbeing and autonomy.
